Christmas tree questions!

Hi, we just put up our Christmas tree today and it is Baci's first Christmas this year! I was wondering how others have bunny proofed their trees. Baci isn't very destructive anymore, he's grown out of his biting everything in sight phase, but obviously it's best to bunny proof anyway!

Also, are Christmas trees ok for rabbits to eat? He hasn't chewed any leaves, but just a precautionary question!

Our tree is up on a table so no bunny or canine interaction. All pines are toxic--pine bedding is ok if kiln dried to remove the phenols, but you can't really do that with a tree.
