I found a breeder of pedigreed Holland lops in my area, the next litter is due in two weeks and they will be rehomed at 8 weeks.

The problem is I bought an XL dog crate and holland lop babies are gonna be small enough for the bar spacing to be an issue.

What would you recommend? A friend does have a commercial rabbit cage I could borrow while it grows.
 
You can put hardware cloth on the outside, it's usually about 1/2"x1/2", definitely baby proof! Just attach with zip ties and then cut it off when the baby gets big enough
