I just got my very first rabbit, and I named him Teegan. It means beautiful in Welsh. But having never owned a bunny, I have a few questions. When we picked him up he was in a deplorable house which I was told he had free range of, but he was in a dog crate without bedding. He had no hay to speak of, just a water bottle, and those grey pellets. Now until I can build a bigger cage (I was lead to believe he was in an appropriate cage I could bring him home in) I take him out for supervised play time at least 2-3 hours a day. He does this weird thing for the first 10 minutes or so where he jumps and does this spaz thing. Is this normal? I was also told he was a girl but there is NO way that his boy parts are girl parts lol. I have no idea how old he is. He seems to be pooping normally from what I've read on here. I switched him to a water bowl and he drinks quite a bit. His urine seems a little smelly but not UTI or anything. He seems to enjoy being held but he does this little clicking sounds when I hold him sometimes. Is that normal? He bumps me with his nose when he wants to be pet, which is often. He's also peed on me twice when he first got here but hadn't since then. Now he has Timothy hay, as much as he wants, Purina rabbit food, and he loves all sorts of toys. He does seem to potty in the litter box allot but he's not 100% yet. Does everything sound okay so far? Any suggestions? I attached a picture. Any suggestions on breed? They told me he was four months but he's not a small bunny lol.

That spazzy behavior you are describing is likely your bun doing what we bunny lovers call a 'binky'. It is a play behavior bunnies do when they feel safe and happy, that usually involves a jump, twist, and a little shake of the bum, body, or head. There is also something called the bunny 500 where a bun will zoom quickly around the room(not in a frightened panicked state). Then there is popcorning where they just pop up into the air from a standing position. All normal bunny play.

If the clicking sound you are hearing is coming from his mouth, that is contented tooth purring or chattering(not to be confused with teeth grinding from pain). Rabbits will often tooth purr when they are getting nose rubs and are feeling contented. They will even sometimes just do it on their own while resting, without getting petted.

The smelly urine is probably just due to being an unaltered male. It can be a bit strong and musky. Getting him neutered can help with the smell as well as improve litter box habits. If you decide to do it, find a good rabbit vet as rabbits are especially sensitive to a GA.

For his breed, he appears to be at least part lionhead. He's a cute little guy and sounds like he is already happy and comfortable in his new home :)

Here's some info on different rabbit behavior as well as how they communicate.

JBun is spot-on with everything that you've asked about. He sounds like one very happy bunny, and such a cute little guy too :)

He's everything I wanted and more. He's already my spoiled little baby! Lol. He even lets me pick him up, sometimes he comes to the front of the cage before I can even get it opened. Thank you guys for you're replies, I was hoping everything he was doing was normal happy bun things. I was just a little worried how that other place affected him.
