My momma bunny had 4 babies and there is one that is definitely a runt compared to its siblings. Just today I noticed it is showing signs of head tilt. Would the presumption be that with a three week old, this is most likely dehydration?

Head tilt is an indication of a neurological problem. The most common causes of head tilt in rabbits is inner ear infection and the parasite e. cuniculi. Head trauma is also a good possibility, especially in young rabbits. If trauma is ruled out as the cause, typically it is best to just treat for both an ear infection and EC, as it can sometimes be difficult to rule out either as the cause. If there is any pus in the ear, a vet can take a swab to determine the bacteria involved and which antibiotic to use. For the EC part, fenbendazole is given for at least a month, along with metacam, an anti inflammatory to reduce inflammation contributing to the symptoms exhibited. These are the meds typically prescribed for an adult with head tilt, so not quite sure if it will differ for a baby. You will also need to ensure the baby is still nursing from mom ok or you may need to supplement feedings. You can discuss this with your vet.

You will need to get your bun to a good rabbit vet right away.
