We have two new holland lops that my kids named appropriately salt and pepper. They are approximately 2 months old now. I'm getting a new cage to separate the male soon. The question is, what is the safest youngest age to mate? I'm guessing 6 months.

I breed holland and have been for a long time. Holland lops are the hardest rabbit breed to breed. I at lest have to try 3 times to get some of my does pregnant. The breed is very complicated to breed. You have to breed them very early in age. When they reach a year, they can't get bred anymore or it is very very hard. For their breed I would breed them at 7-9 months old.
