The boys wanted to get some sticks from thebackyard to give to the bunnies to chew on. Is there anything I shouldstay away from? We have tons of trees out back including Maple, Oak,Pecan, Ash, and a few others I'm not sure about. Should we let them dryout before giving to the bunnies?

Hey, I think that I'd hold off on givingthem fresh twigs until Carolyn, Pam, and Buck come back. I'veread that they can eat apple tree twigs fresh from the tree but othersshould be aged at least three months first.

Also, as you can imagine, there are certain woods that shouldbe avoided, i.e. "branches from apricot, cherry, peach, plum and redwood trees, listed as toxic by poison centers.)"Source:http://www.rabbit.org/chapters/san-diego/behavior/dothat.html

They can have:

"Untreated wood, twigs and logs that have been aged for atleast 3 months. Aapple tree branches can be eaten fresh off the tree.Stay away from: cherry, peach, apricot, plum and redwood, which are allpoisonous." Source:http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/toys.html

Also, here is a link to a list of toxic plants:

Hope this helps!
