Pauly is about 9 months old now, and he has beenso moody lately. I don't know that 9 months would be considered ateenage rabbit, but he sure acts like it. He used to be so gentle andloving. He constantly gave us kisses, snuggled with us and listenedwhen we said "no". He's even been neutered so I know it's not hormonesmaking him crazy.

Lately he's been nipping &ignoring us. He used tolike his cage, but now he fusses when he's in it. Just this morning hejumped out while i was giving him hay and got so angry when i tried toescort him back in that he scratched my chest & arm and kickedlike a soccer player. Maybe it's just a mood, but I miss my sweetlittle bunny. Anyone else have angry adolescents? :(

Hi Sarah,

I've had that issue with Tucker. Not with thenipping, but with the need for an attitude adjustment. Itpassed. I think it's justa phase. Therewas one point where I almost gave up ever having him get back to hisnormal self after this lasted for about 1.5 - 2 weeks. That'sa long time when you're talking about that type of behavior. He wouldn't listen to a word I said and lost his loving ways.

Pauly might be having abought of Spring/Summer Fever, iscoming into his own and feeling his power. Just continue tobe your loving self and tell him NO when you have to. He'llcome around, he's just being a little stinker right now, butI'mcertain it will pass.

Keep us posted.

Try rubbing his ear inside and outsimultaneouslywith your thumb and forefinger. Youcan do the insides of both ears at the same time, if you hold the earsalong side one another. Acouple ofsessions ofthis has been known to turn a bunny'sheart.

Thanks for the support :)

Buck, I will definately try that. He has always been a sucker for earrubs. Maybe I'll get bunny purr out of that jerky little guy. I hope itis a phase that passes. I did some reading on it as well, and asCarolyn suggested he might just be flexinghis top bunnymuscles with us. He's the dominant one in his rabbit family. I wonderif he's trying out his bossy stuff on his people now that he's a bitolder.

Tonight I'm going to do the ear rub & see if I can turn his little heart.
