Lionhead

Lionhead rabbits have a single or double "mane" of longer fur around their heads like a small lion, with short fur over most of their bodies. They may also have longer fur on their hindquarters, so they look like they're wearing fuzzy leggings. Lionheads are small rabbits, between 2.5 and 3.5 pounds adult weight.

The Lionhead breed is relatively new - while it has been recognized in the UK since 2002, it was only accepted by ARBA at the 2013 show in Harrisburg, PA, effective February 1, 2014. At this time, only tortoise and Ruby-eyed white colors are accepted by ARBA, although Lionheads can be found in many other color variations.
