Could anyone identify Astro's breed? I tried the identification key at the top of this forum, but I'm still not sure which he breed he might be. He seems small for five months old, but he seems to be at a healthy weight, too, as he doesn't feel bony or anything. His fur is soft, and he's black with brown fur on his sides.

When black rabbits have been in the sun or heat the fur can become discolored or 'sun bleached', and this is what it looks like on his sides. It should eventually molt out. Depending on his weight, he could be Polish or mini Satin, or mixed with one of those breeds. Polish are about 2.5-3 lbs grown and mini Satins are closer to 4 lbs.
 
6-8 months for small breeds, can be longer for big breeds. 2 pounds is tiny, but he really doesn't resemble a dwarf in features. What a unique little guy.
 
He may weigh more than two pounds. My friend's Lop, Benny, weighs between three to four pounds, and even though he's about the same age as Astro, Benny seems to be quite a bit larger than him. 😅
