Corn on the cob?

From what I've read, this is a really controversial question with rabbit owners.
Many people have fed it to their rabbits and had no problems, however it is very high in carbs and can make them fat if given in large quantities.
However, there are also people whose rabbits have suffered a gut obstruction caused by corn, and died. Gut obstructions are bad news and generally fatal.
Because of these cases, my own personal view is that it is not worth the risk. From what I've researched in the past: corn, fresh or dried, is not safe for rabbits. The hull of corn kernels is composed of a complex polysaccharide (not cellulose and pectin, of which plant cell walls are more commonly composed, and which a rabbit can digest) which rabbits cannot digest.
There are plenty of other tasty things bunnies can eat. :)
