Pam, what am I feeling?

Pam, I was feeling Tank's belly this morning andon the right side, right on the bulgy part below her ribs, I feel aharder but squishy roundish bulgy thing about 2 in. long. Which organis that? Or is it baby??? It's hard to get her to sit still long enoughto get a good idea, but do you know what that was?

Just curious! I'm dying to know when she's going to have them (hoping she really IS pregnant and not just funny-shaped.)

It sounds like you are feeling part of thedigestive system -- the cecum or intestines. The cecum mayfeel putty-like when it has food in it.

A full bladder feels like a balloon. Kidneys are uphigh near the spine. The uterine horns canbeclearly feltif the doe doesn't have too much fatbuilt up around those organs.

Lungs and heart of within the rib cage -- stomach &liver are located close to the bottom of the rib cage.

Kits are easiest to discern at 14 days or right before kindling.
