We're down to the hard ones, now. Your rabbit has upright ears and doesn't fit any of the special fur types or special color or color pattern breeds.

Each breed of rabbit has an ideal adult weight (or range of weights), and that can be a good clue to its breed. Follow the branches from this page to break down the possibilities by adult weight. If your bunny is less than a year old, it may not be at its full adult weight yet (larger breeds mature more slowly, for one thing), so you'll have to make some guesses as to how big it might be - and, of course, make allowances if your adult rabbit is overweight (sorry, I mean, "big boned"). (note that there may be some overlap between the rabbits in each class)

A few other possibilities:

  • If you want to try looking up your rabbit by the color of its fur, you can try the Fur Color Table key page. (Note: table is not for lops or long-haired (angora) rabbit breeds)
