    English Spot? and ?

That's not a spot. ;)It's a mix with a broken pattern. If it was a spot you'd see it in the body type- the pattern is hardly indicative at all. :)

    Tattoos?

I like to have a trademark of sorts. I tattoo all of mine MV (for meadow view's) followed by a number. This way I can recognize sold rabbits on the table, and so can others.

Am I crazy? This baby is blue right??

Looks to me like a very dark chocolate. Is there any possibility of the parents carrying chocolate?

    English Spots

I would love to see the type on both of them! The does looks nice from this side. The charlie is cute. :D I'm still learning too. They are so much fun. <3

    Advertising "hand fed"?

I hand feed all my rabbits. I stick my hand into the feed bag and fill up my scoop, and then put my hand into the cage and pour the feed in the feeder.... with my hands. xD But yeah, someone is definitely BSing

    English Spots!

Mine aren't mean at alll... Well, except for my little doe I call Lucifer, then again, she is in that teenage phase. I think most running breeds take people with grits to show/raise them. They are a challenge but super rewarding. :hearts

    Myia's Bunny Blog

Rescue drama? Jeez. You can send me a PM too. :( But yeah, like others I'm a reader, very rarely respond at all. As far as the biting goes... teenage hormones, the downfall of me xD. If you've got the grits to wait it out, nueter isn't neccessary but it sure can be frustrating. I don't...

HOT TOPIC FOR BREEDERS: Breeding for pet rabbits

Do you breed specifically for pet quality rabbits? No. Absolutely not. Why or why not? Okay... I know this might be against the rules of the post, and if it is, feel free to edit it out. I don't even SELL pets. Period. I have a long list of reasons, the major ones being- Pet...

You know my thoughts! They are really nice, I love mine.

    granding a rabbit?

lelanatty wrote: I have to disagree. Just because your rabbit can beat others... it doesn't guarantee a thing! In some breeds and in some areas, I can agree, but look at it this way- If a breeder say, has some really bad competition. The other rabbits in it's class aren't DQ worthy, but...

    HOT TOPICS: Cross-breeding

Have you ever used "cross-breeding" - meaning using two different breeds of rabbits (or a non-purebred) in your breeding program? If so...why? Would you ever use a non-pedigreed rabbit that is cross bred in your breeding program? Why would you do this? Why wouldn't you do this? Would your...

Who is already planning the fall shows they'll be attending? Which ones are you going to?

ARBA convention. Nough said. There might be one in september and one in october... but they're nothing in comparison to convention.

    Flemish Giant - Disqualification?

Yep, it's listed in the ARBA general DQs. Any white spot on a solid animal is a DQ.

    HOT TOPIC: Shows

WOULD YOU BREED YOUR RABBIT AT A SHOW WITH ANOTHER RABBIT? WHY OR WHY NOT? WOULD YOU HAVE CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS? WHAT IF SOMEONE APPROACHED YOU ABOUT BREEDING YOUR RABBIT? NO. NO NO NO. I don't want to put the health of MY RABBITS on the line just for a breeding. You don't know that the buck...

BREED LIBRARY PROJECT: We need help of experienced breeders who "know their standards"

Oh darn, I'd forgotten about the English Spots, as well! I can finish it up after I'm done with the 100 other things I'm supposed to be writing for people... :D Julie, the only breed without breed specific DQs are Florida whites. xD

DISTURBING TOPIC with graphic discussion: handling newborn culls

See though- for me- the idea of freezing them is pretty comparable to finding dead, unrevivable kits on the wire. And who hasn't? I mean- I've heard of a lot of ways to kill kits. From 'mini broomstick method' using a pencil, to slamming them against a wall or the floor.... And think about...

DISTURBING TOPIC with graphic discussion: handling newborn culls

Freezer freezer freezer. The runts in our litters go into the freezer. And when I breed my spots, the charlies and sports will, too. From there they go to the pet shop. Sounds morbid, but snakes gotta eat too. I'm limited, so, I'm going to stop wasting my time on genetically incorrect runts...

    My bunny Hopper!

It is a very common mis conception to assume that rabbits with sparse coloration and eyebands are hotot mixes. Sure, it's true, she COULD be, but it's not likely. Looking at the length of her ears you can pretty much tell she's not a dwarf hotot mix. Again, she could be, but it's not likely...

    hypnotizing rabbits?

I should get a video of one of my himmies... It's surreal. I never have to 'burrito' any of them, even my Spots or Champagnes, which you'd think would be hard. I just pinch the base of the ears for controll while supporting the rest of their body. I was taught to scruff my rabbits for 4-h...

Does this bunny not like being held?

Heh... It tickles mewhen you guys say most rabbits don't like being picked up. I must have a herd of rejects, then. LOL Then again, I handle mine from birth. I'm prepared for a scratch here and there and I'm ready to handle an unruly rabbit... You people should see my arms. You'd think some...
