    Bunn-safe lawn fertilizer?

Greetings, I’m going to grow some Kentucky Bluegrass to complement Ted’s diet of Timothy hay + veggies. I tried doing a search for rabbit-safe fertilizer to keep the grass growing, but the results gave conflicting answers. Does anyone have an informed opinion about which fertilizer is safe...

We bought our special viewing glasses at the grocery store. Hopefully it isn’t too cloudy here next Saturday morning. https://www.greatamericaneclipse.com/october-14-2023 https://science.nasa.gov/eclipses/future-eclipses/eclipse-2023/where-when/

    Best brush?

I brush Ted once or twice every day. I’ve saved his fur from the last 10 days of brushing, just to see how much he actually sheds . It‘s a big ol’ hairball! It’s so much better to pull the loose fur off of him, before he grooms himself and gets it in his gut. :) @allenstacy74 i hope...

    Best brush?

I brush Ted on a regular basis. He loves it, and comes running when he sees me holding the brush. I like it too, it’s a good bonding exercise. Also there is a financial incentive to brushing him. I spent $7000 last year to have a hairball surgically removed from his gut. Would like...

    Help with catching runaway rabbit

I’m not an expert on these traps, but I would guess that they are pretty safe. When the rabbit goes for the food he steps on a plate that triggers the door closed, on the other side of the cage. So I wasn’t worried that the rabbit would be injured. However I was a little concerned that...

    Help with catching runaway rabbit

I caught my rabbit using a trap. I just put food inside and waited for him to go inside, then the door springs shut. You don’t necessarily have to buy a trap, if you have a local animal control or cat rescue organization nearby, they may have a trap that you can borrow. Good luck!

    X pen

FYI I got a fence system via Amazon at the beginning of 2023. It works well, and Ted doesn’t try to chew it at all. I bought 24 panels, but you can buy them in multiples of 8, whatever you need. Each panel is 32”x32” and you can configure it anyway you want. It’s on sale now during...

    Hairball caused GI stasis

I think any rabbit can get hair balls . So that’s why I posted about Ted’s problem, to share my experience and pass along the importance of brushing rabbits to remove loose fur. BTW Those areas that you mentioned are very scenic, nice places to live. I am in the process of trying to sell...

    Hairball caused GI stasis

@JBun @marilynpearson237 thanks, Ted is almost back to normal now. yes, we are lucky to have such a great vet in our area. They have 13 vets on staff, and only deal with exotics like rabbits iguanas parrots toucans etc. they are like the Mayo Clinic for animals 😁

    Hairball caused GI stasis

That’s a good idea, thanks. I think we will use a combination of both plucking and brushing to remove fur, in the future

    Vet list for Edmonds, WA

I just had experience with this vet. They call themselves CBEAM….Center for Birds and Exotic Animals Medicine. They might be the best vet in the Seattle area, or at least in the top three.
