    bunny chasing me

Neutered? All of my own bunnies and fostered followed me around like baby ducklings until they were neutered (i.e. hormonal). And then if he is neutered, he's just having fun or looking for snacks!

Pneumonia and vets not listening to you

Thank you for your response! I'll definitely check out the colloidal silver and definitely going to make sure he gets a nebulizer this week (have been turned down by so many vets and really not sure why, especially since he has the cat scan showing very severe pneumonia there).

Pneumonia and vets not listening to you

Since the first one worked so well, what I'd really like is to continue both of those for a continued period of time to see if we can achieve the same response. He was randomly switched to pen G this week and is doing much much worse, so I'm going to restart the metro/baytril today and then take...

Pneumonia and vets not listening to you

Thanks for your response, I really appreciate it. Metronidazole/baytril x 2 months (was almost asymptomatic, which is why the new vet didn't believe how sick he was). Then no abx for a week or two for the deep nasal swabs. Symptoms zoomed back super fast. Given two more weeks of metro/baytril...

Just adopted a bunny, black scabs on nose

For anyone that comes across this post in the future, it was presumed to be syphillis and cleared right up with pen g .

Pneumonia and vets not listening to you

My bunny Lou has had pneumonia since March. He had been wheezing and it was all coming deep from his chest. It would happen mostly at night and also when he was in a deep sleep. Took him to a vet many times and was written off because he wouldn't really wheeze during the day. The vet said "it...

Just adopted a bunny, black scabs on nose

I'm the US. As far as I know, this rabbit has never lived with other rabbits or any other animals. I'm hoping it's just trauma that's healing, and not viral/bacterial. However, I'm not quite sure how a rabbit would injure its nose like this.

    how tall is your x-pen?

I have a 36" one and it's perfect. I like it because it's low enough that I can step into it and bend over to give treats, refill water bowls, etc. The 48" one would have prevented that.

    Bed Time Issues

Is the cage big enough? If it's on the smaller side, you could switch to a playpen. For my rabbits, I eliminated the cage and instead bunny proofed one of my bedrooms. Having more space and getting rid of the cages have definitely eliminated cage anxiety. When someone is bunny sitting for me, I...

Did I make a major mistake?

They will definitely need to be spayed. Second, rabbits have very complex and distinct personalities and it's very difficult to put two random rabbits together. For example, when I got a girlfriend for my rabbit, he went on about 10 speed dates! There was only one rabbit that didn't beat him up...

Just adopted a bunny, black scabs on nose

I just adopted a 9 month holland lop yesterday. He has multiple black scabs on his nose. They used to cover more of his nose, but the vet that did his neuter picked some of the scabs off. His nose looks raw and he is sneezing as well. After doing some online searches, mites, syphillis, myxi...
