Sooo Chummy has EC (what now)?

In January I adopted a wonderful little bunny from a nearby rescue. She was pregnant when she came into the rescue and raised a litter of five babies there. Her babies (now about 9 months) are all still at the rescue. Today I found out that one of her babies, who's only contact with other...

    Zupreem Vs. Oxbow?

    I don't think I can get Sherwood's in Canada...Martin's, though, I definitely can :)

    Zupreem Vs. Oxbow?

How does Zupreem Timothy Naturals stand up to Oxbow and Martin's pellets? I bought a bag to try them out and they're probably the freshest-smelling pellets I've ever found, but I know they aren't as popular as Oxbow. What's the difference?

    Bunny Drinking/Urinating Frequently

He seems healthy in every other way! I think it's related to his diet, after all.

    Bunny Drinking/Urinating Frequently

I think it increased last spring-- I started to feed him a pellets-only diet and he was eating mainly hay so that would make sense I think. I started to increase his pellets a couple of weeks ago and he has a more substantial weight to him now. He weighs around 4 pounds and I live in Southern...

Bunny won't poop in the box anymore

Bramble (first bunny) is 3 and he's been neutered well over a year and a half. Chummy (new bun) is one and she was spayed in November. He's pooping right in the middle of my floor so I can't really put a box there :( I share the room with them (yay student living! ;) I'll try adding another box...

Bunny won't poop in the box anymore

I got a second rabbit at the start of the month, and she bonded with my first rabbit (male) quite quickly. They are both free-roam buns in a room, but Bramble has stopped pooping in the box. I have two litter boxes for them in different locations of the room, both with hay in them always...

Grooming with a mouth full of poop...why?!

I have a question about something weird (and gross and annoying) Bramble does all the time. He'll reach down as if he's eating cecotrophs, groom his underbelly, then spit out a piece of poop that's now all crumbled and broken up right on the floor. He makes a big pile of these squished poops...

    Bunny Drinking/Urinating Frequently

Definitely does. He loves his hay more than anything! :nod

Should I moisturize my rabbit's hock callouses?

My rabbit doesn't have sore hocks, just callouses on his heels (which I know is normal). Would they benefit from being moisturized with bag balm or some other pet-safe salve?

    Bunny Drinking/Urinating Frequently

About 2 cups per day, and he drinks out of a bowl. I have an automatic cat-waterer for him that holds ten cups and he goes through it in a few days.

    Bunny Drinking/Urinating Frequently

Hi, Just curious what tests a vet would most likely run on a rabbit who drinks and urinates a great deal and is quite bony? I've had Bramble over two years and he will be 3 in a few months. He's a small mixed breed rabbit of unknown background. He eats 1/8 cup a day of Oxbow Timothy pellets...

    Bunny drinking A LOT

You're right, I don't feed him veggies daily; he gets a couple cups a week but not every day (it's more like twice a week). I do notice it's normally after he munches down on hay that he goes to his water dish.

    Bunny drinking A LOT

Thanks for the replies! That helps set my mind at ease. I think I just notice it a lot because he lives in my bedroom and I've become hermit-like the past week or so studying for exams, so I notice how often he's at his dish. But the amount has been pretty consistent since I got him. It's...

    Bunny drinking A LOT

Bramble drinks a LOT of water but I didn't notice until now, just how much. I took him to a vet in May about it; she did a wellness exam, a blood sample, a BUN (Blood Urea Nitrogen level test) stick, and a cytology exam (test to look for abnormal cells in urine). Everything looked perfectly...
