    Thinking of an addition?

Harley is now well on her way to recovering from her spaying and we have had the idea of adding another little bun to our family. We've been advised that a male would be best for Harley to get on with and of course I came here to seek some advice from the community that has helped me out...

    Post-Spaying

She's given us the fibre supplement and we've put some 100% pineapple juice in her water (only a few drops) and she seems to be drinking a little more now. Not as much as she was but more. She doesn't like the fibre supplement though lol Loves her painkillers though

    Post-Spaying

She drinks from a bowl, she had more veggies than normal the first day after surgery. I think it is because she isn't eating her hay, that is what normally makes her thirsty. She had her first post-op check today and the vet gave us a fibre supplement to give to her until she starts eating...

    Post-Spaying

Will bear that in mind and will try the limited release thing in a few days when she has had more time to heal. Another problem we've noticed is that she isn't drinking anywhere near as much as she was. Her pee has started to change colour too.

    Post-Spaying

Thanks for the tips, she is eating now and is confined to her cage. She is really antsy to get out and about thought. How long does she need to be confined for?

    Post-Spaying

Harley had her operation today, we received a phone call at 13.30 to let us know she was awake and well and we then picked her up at 17.00. She looked unimpressed and grumpy when we picked her up but was moving around the carry case more than I expected. Vet said the operation went well apart...

    Pre & Post Spaying Tips

Harley is going in for her spay operation in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if there were any tips anyone had about getting her ready and looking after her when she comes home?

    Sugar issue?

Thanks for the comforting advice. We are keeping a close eye on her droppings and her behaviour. She is still eating her hay and drinking happily.

    Bunny barriers?

Hi all! Harley has free reign of all the safe areas for her in our flat, we clearing out a small box room we have partially so we can put Harley's cage in the cleared part of the room as a permanent solution. We want to fence of this part of the room so Harley has her cage and some floor...

    Sugar issue?

Hi, Been a while since I posted but something has happened and I want to know what could possibly go wrong and what signs to look out for. My friend and her family just came round for the first time since we had Harley. Her eldest was playing nicely with Harley but then she hopped off down...

    Rabbit Puberty?

Harley is now just over 3 months old and her behaviour is starting to alter and I am just wondering if all the changes are to do with her hormones and age. She has began leaving little puddles around the place which we expected. But she is becoming decidedly grumpy, she is active most the...

    Harley not eating hay

She is roughly 10 weeks old. They are not bunched together, they are still separate droppings just slimy. I thought maybe as she was eating less hay but her normal amount of pellets that might be causing an imbalance in her diet hence the different droppings.

    Harley not eating hay

She is eating her pellets fine, she ate the grass I got for her earlier too and she was chewing away on a cardboard tube earlier but her poos are starting to get sticky, have not seen a normal poo from her for a few hours. She is pooing the normal amount she normally does but they are all wet...

    Harley not eating hay

She has eaten some grass and has been nibbling a tiny amount on a few strands of hay. I am getting worried now :-( Would Critical Care be a good idea if this continues? If so, does anyone know where to get it asap in the UK?

    Harley not eating hay

We were concerned it might have been a teeth or gut issue but she ate the pellets she was given at breakfast and is now wolfing down some snow covered grass I've just cut out the garden downstairs. I am in the UK and will check out that site now :-) Will give the hay we got from the farm to my...

    Harley not eating hay

Hi there RO! I think Harley doesn't like the hay she's got :-( She was eating it when we first changed to this hay but now she just nibbles a few strands and then she'll just sit on it. I've tried putting it in different locations in her cage, putting it in tubes for her to find or just...

Harley hates being put back down!

Danny has just shown me how he holds Harley when he puts her down and it is a little different from the way I do it so I will try it the way he does it and see how it goes.
