Hey guys, I have a 6 year old broken-orange domestic bunny named Toby (Tobias). I'm look to rehome because I will be moving from Indianapolis to Boston this September and I will not be able to take him with me due to housing arrangements. This is a really tough choice, but I know he'll be...

    Indiana Hay

I currently buy hay bales from Crossroads Feed Barn in Brownsburg, but I'm looking to find something closer to where I am (Zionsville, Carmel area). Does anyone know of a good local supplier? I'm having trouble locating a place that'll sell 100% Timothy. The hay bales I get now are a mix and...

    Condensed Pine Pellets

I got a large bag of Condensed Pine Pellets from my local feed barn. My question is...are they safe? I've seen mixed opinions about used pine pellets. It's Guardian Horse Bedding, but they said it should do the trick. Opinions?

    Burning Incense

Before I had my two buns, I used to burn incense sticks fairly often. Since I've them, though, I haven't burned any for fear of causing them any harm. Does anyone know if burning incense would have any effect on their health? I'm mainly worried about causing respiratory problems.

    Bunnies and Yard Treatments

We used some form of weed-killer on our lawn last month when Spring started in. Of course, it has rained a lot since then, but does that make it safe enough for bunnies? My mom wants them to get some sun, but I don't know how I feel about putting them on a lawn that's been treated. Will it ever...

    Shedding

Tobias started shedding very heavily about 4 weeks ago, yet Balthazar doesn't seem to be shedding much at all. They have very different types of fur, but is it normal for some buns to not be heavy shedders and for some buns to be VERY heavy shedders?

How much cardboard is too much cardboard?

From what I've read, cardboard doesn't necessarily pose any threats to rabbits unless they ingest an excessive amount of it. So, how much is too much? I used to give my buns lots of toilet paper rolls, but I've recently cut back them because I've noticed that they would eat half of it within a...

    Neutering and Bonding

I had my two boys, Tobias and Balthazar, neutered May 26. When would it be best to start the bonding process? Or, more importantly, how long will it take for their hormones to work out of their system? I haven't really yet noticed a change in behavior. I know many people say wait until the...

    Buying Feedbarn Hay

I just found a local feed barn that sells hay by the bale for $7. He described it as "mainly grass with a little bit of alfalfa." Is this a good Timothy alternative?

Should I even attempt to bond these two?

I bought Tobias and Balthazar last June. We caged them together for several months and they shared it without problems. Around their 3/4 month birthday, they got into a huge fight and we had to separate them. Since then, they haven't really had any interaction with each other outside of their...

    What are we?

I just can't seem to find a definitive answer. Any idea what breed my buns are? Tobius (6.5 lbs, 11 months old) Balthazar (5.5 lbs, 11 months old)

    You may remember a member...

Last summer, my girlfriend and I purchased two rabbits (originally thought to be does, turned out to be two bucks) for her birthday and she was active for a while on this site until August. In November we were on the verge of re-homing our rabbits due to financial problems and our own living...
