    pet over population myth

Kipcha wrote: "They're prey animals so they are just a certain way" is true only to a certain extent but then it gets to be an excuse for poor behavior and/or bad handling. *Hails Caesar Millan* Ever hear people make excuses for their dogs because of what they are? "Dogs are predators so of...

    Bathing.

houdini wrote: You're humanizing your pet. He's not going to hate you for bathing him. Sure, he'll know immediately if you don't know how to handle him properly or are not confident about doing it and he'll respond to that but he's not going to hate your for bathing him. Don't bathe him...

Whats the best way to clean dirty feet / bottoms?

How to clean a dirty rabbit: If the mess is still a bit moist, liberally apply corn starch, work it in, and then comb it out. If it's dry, lightly spritz the area with water or vinegar and then work in a liberal amount of corn starch, and then comb it out.

please help!! what colour is my bunny??

It looks exactly as described by the seller - a red, satinized dwarfed rabbit. :D Pretty thing. Doesn't look American Polish to me but that may be because it is a relatively early generation of a Polish/Thrianta crossing. ETA: lol I just realized that it's the coat that is throwing...

How Good is his type? *pic included*

I'll have a go. :) Just judging from the photo and only judging type... Looks like he could have a nice topline. A posed, profile pic would help to better determine that. Needs heavier bone. I'd fault the ears quite a bit for the wide set, "V" carriage, and being pointed. ND are very...

Does anyone have unneutered male rabbits together?

CiaraPatricia wrote: Well, you know, since you mentioned cages, I was thinking of the set up I use. I didn't consider that you might be doing some form of colony breeding and I don't know your breed or breeding purposes. There is more than one way to skin a cat so the answer to your...

Does anyone have unneutered male rabbits together?

It's not common at all. I had someone tell me two of my bucks I sent her lived together and loved each other (until a doe broke up their great friendship) :rollseyes. So, it's possible but would I do it? No way. I was not happy when I heard about my bucks not being given their own space...

    Straight Veggies N' Hay

If you go off pellets don't go gung ho on vegetables that are traditional for humans to eat. When you keep in mind that rabbits are an animal does not naturally compete with humans for food, you'll see how giving them "vegetation" rather than vegetables is a more appropriate diet for them . In...

    Hay Help

Oxbow is okay but keep the hays in their diets varied if possible. Don't feed timothy based pellets with timothy hay. Rabbits do best when there are at least three different main (nutritious) plant sources in their diet. For example: an American rabbit might eat - alfalfa pellet/garden...

    pet over population myth

In the show world, I see strong tendencies for super social rabbits that love to be picked up and be in-your-face-friendly. But you're right. There are individual rabbits who don't like it or freak. I've have 2 that did not like handling born in my barn. Sometimes, you just don't know what to...
