Peaches and Popcorn have been getting a lot more freedom lately. I used to let them out for about an hour at a time and put a timer on so I wouldn't forget to shut their cages. I know they can jump over the NIC grid "fence" but they don't seem to want to - which is good. Lately I've been leaving...
The Oxbow stuff is amazing and green & smells wonderful. This stuff smells okay, it looks dry but I think it got burned by the sun. There's mostly brown bits - and the hay is softer (no hard stalks)
I finished off my 50 lb box of Oxbow hay and thought I'd get some farmer's hay since the Oxbow costs about $100.00 to get shipped to me. I got the bale of hay for $10 cuz my parents were supposed to pick it up but at the last minute decided to have the guy deliver it. It's pretty big about...
I used to leave the radio on (he's downstairs with the rabbits - everyone is in separate cages). And I left a light on, but he still barks. During the day we're always with him - checking to see if he's gonna pee somewhere. He's a very calm puppy, we had company over, he didn't bark when the...
He was introduced rather suddenly to the crate. I didn't realize at that time that it had to be done slowly. I've tried re-introducing him, he just hates it and instantly tries to get out again. I tried staying nearby when he's in it, he looks like Cujo in there biting at the bars and barks...
I've been wanting a puppy for a long time and I finally got hubby on board but he didn't want the dog I wanted - I like big dogs, he likes small. I wanted a Bernese Mountain pup and he didn't. We found a farmer who had a miniature American Eskimo mix 3 month old pup (yeah I know bad idea now...
Love, Love LOVED the movies. Of course the books are so much better, except for #3 where I liked the movie better than the book - how about that? I didn't like what Harry did with the Elder wand either and I would have liked them to mention that Harry already had one of them - and that not all...
Have you tried the covered litter? You can put a grate on top of the litter (the stuff for plastic canvas works too) Runestonez has a fabulous DIY for this and it's outstanding. The hay stays on top of the grate & they can munch it even if it's all over. I have a wire toothbrush holder that...
I thought Peaches wanted a buddy too - he looked so sad and because I worked, he'd be alone all day. I got Popcorn and got him fixed too and waited for him to heal. But Popcorn doesn't like to share and likes his space to himself. He grunts, lunges & growls at Peaches (who's about 6" away...
Hay should be green, if it's brown, it's too dried or "burned" - mine won't touch the brown hay. Green is much better. Mine will eat both Kaytee & Oxbow - I like the big bags
One of mine chews his bars too, I told him no, pushed his nose away and got grunted at! Where he likes to chew, the bars seem a bit less smooth - he's not super horrible about it but it is annoying.
Sorry I can't help you but I can sympathise with you...
