    Forever Home Northern IL

Hello everyone, I am looking to find a good forever home for a delightful rabbit. My husband rescued him in 2020 as a baby (3-5 months old). He works for a utility company and while leaving a business park lot he sees a pet bunny in the grass, feet away from I-90/Cumberland in Chicago. He used...

    Emergency Question-milkweed!!!

Thank you both! The vets on the phone could do nothing except ask me to bring him in (which I couldn't) or give me the number for a poison control that I'd have a fee to call. It ends up that he was fine the entire night and next day. Although later on he left behind several ceocotropes, so...

    Emergency Question-milkweed!!!

THank you Watermelons :) I did read that article too. But I had been confused becuase so many other resources say that it is poisonous. It has been over an hour and he is still ok and behaving fine and eating and playing. I wonder how much time needs to pass before you know for sure they are...

    Home grown grass

Apollo- that’s awesome! What kind did you grow? I wasn’t sure if what my lawn is growing is ok. My garden area is fenced off but my neighbor puts something in his lawn twice a year so I was thinking of growing it in some deck boxes on the other side of the house.

    Home grown grass

Hi there, Has anyone grown their own fresh grass for their rabbit? I am trying to increase water for my bunny and thought that might be a good way to do it. Also does or has anyone tried to dry out the excess and add to their store bought hay?

    Low Calcium for Bunny

Hi! I think I remember someone giving me information on this but for the life of me I can’t find it. I am looking for low calcium greens for my bunny. I was giving him Romaine but every time after I give it his poops get darker and softer. I give him organic and washed. Is it not working well...

    My cat attacked my rabbit

Hi there! :) I have had many cats and most came from other homes. It seems like your car had to battle to feel safe in the past. It was most certainly a victim of a person or other animals for it to display such fear, which is why it is reacting. I have 2 cats now and a dog and bunny. My one...

    Calcium in urine, but...

Thanks! Yes I will go back to 1 tbsp a day. I was doing that for the same reason. I will also up his lettuce. What is the right way to measure 1 c of lettuce? He does have a box he jumps on to get to his upper level and he goes up and down it like a madman sometimes he has so much energy. I...

    Calcium in urine, but...

I usually only do it when I need to clip his nails or he escaped from his safe zone. Ok, good to know that basically I will keep on with what I’m doing in that area. If I wanted to take him outside, should I put him in a carrier? And so this is a normal amount of calcium? When he was younger I...

    Calcium in urine, but...

So part of the paper got wet but the left side is mainly what I’m talking about. It looks like the last drop of pee was more concentrated. The stuff under was a light dusty look. By the way, my bunny doesn’t like being held or picked up. Is there any way to slowly get him used to it? He sits on...
