Thank you to everyone for your feedback! So he is drinking and eating hay but not his food or veggies. He is pooping and using the bathroom like normal. Is this cause for concern?

The vet told me in the two weeks he's confined all of the sperm will be out of his system. Is this not true? Because I have a 9 week old female that he cannot wait to play with!

Well my 9 1/2 month old lionhead got his man card taken away today. He's still pretty doped up so hasn't moved around much. The vet gave me antibiotics and bitter apple for the incision to keep him from licking. But no pain medication. He is 4.5 pounds. Anyone have suggestions for if he does...

So I got my supplies in on Friday and this is what I have created so far. Feedback much appreciated. These toys are all safe for birds, rabbits and other small animals!

Does she drink from a bowl or a bottle? If a bottle I would try hanging the bottle on top of the litter box. I use XL cat boxes because the store bought small animal ones that hang in the cage are too small

Is there anything soft on the floor of the crate? Rabbits like to use the bathroom on soft places. Try placing poops from the crate in the litter box to show that's where it's supposed to go. It also works to confine them to a small area or just the crate for a few days to get the hang of it...

Another suggestion that I am putting into trial at the moment is puppy pad under the litter and hay to absorb the majority of the urine. I can't say how much success it is yet as I just started it on Sunday in one of his XL cat boxes and did not place it in the second to see if it works out...

I also want to add I use recycled paper pellets for litter. They are very absorbent and keep the odor down. We only change the litter boxes out once or twice a week. The vet I'm taking my buns to charges $50 for male and $75 for female. Very experienced with rabbits. It is a small local vet. I'm guessing that's why the cost is low. They are the most reliable and cost effective in my area.

We use a brush or comb and scissors so he doesn't get scared.
